Dear Teacher, You Made A Difference

Dear Mrs. Johnson,

When I think back to the first time I knew I wanted to be a teacher I can, without a doubt, say that it was because of my first grade teacher.

Your sweet heart and the love you have for teaching created a learning environment that I can still remember.  You fostered a love for reading and learning that helped me to grow, not only as a first grader, but into the teacher I wanted to become.

I will never forget how much you reminded me of Mariah Carey and how much I wanted to be like you when I grew up.

I wanted to read and teach others to read…just like you did for me,
I wanted to show love to little learners…just like you did for me,
And, I wanted to impact young minds…just like you did for me.

I am so happy to say that I knew I wanted to be a teacher from such a young age and to have an inspirational role model to look up to like you.

Thank you, Mrs. Johnson, for impacting my life and for helping me to impact the lives of learners, as well.  You are truly a TEACHER THAT MADE A DIFFERENCE in my life!

Much love,
Elissa Galloway (Jones)
