FREE Math Game – Racing to 20

This post may contain affiliate links.  Please read our disclosure here.

Counting on, simple addition and number identification wrapped into a FREE math game…YES, please!  Add in some fun race cars from the Target Dollar Spot and it’s new favorite!  Sometimes the most simple activities have a huge impact on our learning adventure. Grayson loved it and begged for it daily.  It was definitely a win-win.  A win for him and a win for my pocketbook!

When little man spotted these race cars at Target he specifically told me to make a learning game out of them…mission accepted!  I grabbed 20 total cars and created a mat for our new game.

We have been practicing counting on lately (counting starting at a number other than 1).  We used our Racing to 20 math game to practice this skill.

Grayson would roll the dice and count on from the number that the last car was parked on.  Having the visual and hands on approach made the skill easier for him to grasp and use on his own.
