Planning for a new school year is quite a task. There is so many things to do, organize, and plan before those students walk in on the first day. One thing, I feel, gets overlooked are birthdays. Do you have something fun planned on those special days? These birthday books are easy to prep, and fun to hand to that birthday boy or girl on their special day!
Along with these birthday books, I like to have a birthday bookmark as well! When my students’ walk in on their special day, their desk is full of goodies just for them!
If you’re super busy, let the birthday child color their book the morning they walk in.
When they open the birthday books, they will find a special picture. You can reach out to parents for a picture or take headshots at the beginning of the year.
The next several pages are the best part! Each child in the class gets the opportunity to write an encouraging note to the birthday child. They can also draw a picture to illustrate their kind words!
