God’s Happy Campers: Backpack Craft

This post may contain affiliate links.  Please read our disclosure here.

This week I am sharing some fun activities from my God’s Happy Campers unit that teaches little learners the story of the Good Samaritan.  Let’s begin with the lesson’s craft…

For this Bible lesson we prepared our craft at the beginning of the class.  Every camper made a backpack and filled it with supplies to take with us on our camping trip.  Some of the supplies in the pack would be used to teach the lesson of the Good Samaritan.

To make the bag begin by folding the top portion of the bag down and tracing a semi-circle from corner to corner.  Unfold the bag and cut of the line.

Next, cut off the side tabs to create a bag with only front and back flaps.

To put straps on the bag, punch four holes on the corners of the back portion of the bag.

Tie ribbon in the top and bottom holes to create straps and measure for each child if needed.

Finally, have the children color and cut the supplies to place in their backpack.

And, then each camper is all set and ready to begin our God’s Happy Campers Bible Lesson!
