HOW TO CREATE A SIGN IN SHEET WITH GOOGLE FORMS®

This post may contain affiliate links.  Please read our disclosure here.

How many times have you created a paper sign in sheet only to search and search for it in a pile of papers?  I’ve taught at schools where administration wants a copy of sign in sheets.  And I was that teacher that lost hers.  I won’t be that teacher anymore!  Now, I make my sign in sheets with Google Forms© and I’ll never lose another one again!

Easy to Set Up!
With just a few minutes, you can have your Meet the Teacher or Curriculum Night sign in sheet created!  All you need is a Google account and a few minutes!

First, head to your Google Drive® and select “Create New Form”.

Next, click on the color pallet symbol at the top right.  This is where you will choose your font, colors and download a heading image if you have one.  (There is one in my Meet the Teacher bundle!)

Last, edit the fields to meet your needs!  I like to include parent email and phone number as well as dismissal information.

Many Benefits!

There are so many benefits to using a digital sign in sheet!

  • Like I mentioned above, having a digital sign in sheet avoids the problem of losing a paper one.
  • Everyone has a phone.  This provides a more digital feel to Meet the Teacher and avoids any mess ups that parents might make with using a pen on paper.
  • With digital sign in sheets, there is no mistaken of what is written.  It’s hard to read handwriting some times so this is a very good alternative!

So, no more lost sign in sheets when you have a digital sign in sheet! You can grab the Meet the Teacher header for your digital sign in sheet in my Meet the Teacher Bundle!
