No Mom Guilt with Crayola Create and Play

Last summer my family vacationed in Durango, Colorado. It was incredible. The weather was perfect, mountains were beautiful and the trip was full of adventures. However, here’s the kicker… it was a 14-hour drive with our three young (precious, but sometimes loud) kids. I did what any desperate parent would do. We packed the car with movies, coloring books, and tablets loaded with entertainment! Crayola Create and Play app saved the day…I mean..the trip!

What a Lifesaver!

I downloaded the Crayola Create and Play app for my five-year-old to play on that trip. It was a lifesaver! Honestly, I didn’t feel guilty letting my kids play on the app because it’s loaded with learning games. It’s a combination of art and learning that gives kids the opportunity to use their imagination and create rather than simply checking out in front of a screen.

One of my daughter’s favorite games is the pet park and pet creator. She absolutely loves to spend time feeding her pet and changing the flavors of its food. She bathes her pet with the colorful Crayola scrubs and loves watching her little creature explore the various habitats. Players get points as they complete activities and can use those points to get play items and accessories for their pets.

When your littles practice number recognition, problem-solving and number sense activities, it helps build their confidence and gives them the skills they will build on in elementary math. In the Create and Play Arcade, my daughter loves working on math and problem-solving skills.  Of course, she didn’t even realize it because it was fun! There’s an ice cream scoop game where you have to build the tallest ice cream cone by catching the falling ice cream scoops — just to make it a little more challenging, my eight-year-old decided she would only catch certain flavors for her ice cream cone!

Activities for Every Type of Learner

The art station features digital versions of Crayola art supplies, lines, shapes, and colors to create original works of art. You can choose from standard colors, stickers, stamps, or patterned paint designs or get creative and explore pixel art, glow art, tracing, and art lessons. There are countless ways for kids to imagine, create, and develop creative confidence.

Crayola Create and Play is a safe, engaging app designed for kids ages 3 – 8 years old that’s not your traditional screen time, but something fun and beneficial for your kids.

You can sign up for a 7-day free trial to play all activities. If you decide it’s a good fit for your family, the annual cost is extremely reasonable. Plus, there’s new content added each month!

As a bonus, I am giving away a free one-year subscription to Crayola Create and Play thanks to Red Games Co! Head over to the Mrs. Jones Creation Station Instagram page – @mrsjonescreationstation and tag two friends in the Crayola Create and Play post to be entered into the drawing! I’ll draw for the winner on Friday, March 1st, and announce it in stories.

This post is part of a sponsored partnership with Red Games Co. All opinions are my own and I only promote brands and products that I support and that align with the Mrs. Jones Creation Station mission.
