As a new teacher, I didn’t have a ton of moolah in my pockets to get my learners a Christmas gift. That is when I discovered the magic of reindeer feed!
Not only was it the perfect gift to take the spirit of Christmas home with them. It was one they were able to make together. And with this cute free tag, it is so easy to put together.
Reindeer Feed Bag
Want to know how simple this goodie is to put together?
You will need to grab
- Oatmeal
- Glitter
- Brown bag
- Ribbon
- Holepunch
- A bowl
- Something to stir
- Free Reindeer Feed poem
Have learners combine oatmeal and glitter to make the magic reindeer feed.
Put the oatmeal in a bowl, add a splash of sparkle and stir. The glitter will shine in the moonlight (with the help of Rudolph’s nose). And when they smell the oatmeal they are bound to stop.
Next, have the learners add their reindeer feed to a brown bag. That helps contain the sparkle so it is extra bright on Chrsitmas Eve.
This next part may require a little adult help. Punch two holes in the bag and one hole in the printable.
Tie the ribbon through the bag and in a knot on the poem. You can grab the poem by clicking on the MJCS download image at the bottom of this post.
Tie the ribbon and give it a little curl. Now the kids have a fun little gift to enjoy on Christmas Eve with their family.
