Valentine’s Day Digital Activities for the Classroom

This post may contain affiliate links.  Please read our disclosure here.

Valentine’s Day is such a fun holiday for kids. In our house, I put it all in my kids’ hands. I buy the cards, candy and toys and they do the rest. I love watching them write sweet notes to their friends. And teachers have just as much fun planning Valentine’s Day thematic units and activities to tie in with this holiday. Of course, these digital activities are perfect for your upcoming Valentine’s Day unit!

New to Digital Assignments?

No worries! This free resource is compatible with Google Slides™ and Seesaw™. Both platforms are a great option. Most districts will decide what platform they recommend, so I offered these resources for both.

If you’re new to Google Slides™, you can read more from the post below:

These simple steps will get you set up in no time!

If you’re new to Seesaw™, you can head over to their website and find out how to assign activities to your class!

Valentine Addition

If you’re in a kindergarten class, this is the time of year where challenging addition skills are taught. Pictures and objects are perfect to use for your visual learners (and most kids are visual learners!)

You know what the best part of digital resources are? No papers. And each slide contains the visuals your students need to complete each addition problem.

Each slide contains two sets of pictures. Your learners will complete an entire addition problem from start to finish on each slide. Once completed, they submit their work!

Valentine Hearts

Learning to read is a BIG deal in Kindergarten. The first part of the year is just covering all the basics before reading begins. This time of year is when reading really starts to take shape. With Valentine Hearts, your learners will understand how to read CVC words.

Then, they will see and understand that changing one vowel or one consonant can change the entire word. Once your learners go through each slide, they submit it to you for grading.

These Valentine’s Day digital activities are so easy to use and will save you so much time! Because I know who frustrating it is to grade papers. It’s not fun! Grab this free resource below!
