Winter Digital Activities for Little Learners

This post may contain affiliate links.  Please read our disclosure here.

You’re heading back to the classroom after a great, relaxing holiday break. You need some fun, engaging activities to welcome your students back! You’re going to have some tired students, so any digital activity is going to get them excited to be back in the classroom! With these winter digital activities, your little learners will ease back into learning with excitement.

New to Digital Assignments?

No worries! This free resource is compatible with Google Slides™ and Seesaw™. Both platforms are a great option. Most districts will decide what platform they recommend, so I offered these resources for both.

If you’re new to Google Slides™, you can read more from the post below:

These simple steps will get you set up in no time!

If you’re new to Seesaw™, you can head over to their website and find out how to assign activities to your class!

Wintertime Words

During the winter months, kindergarten learners are working on putting letter sounds together to make words. This is a perfect time to use these winter digital activities in your literacy block.

Each slide contains an image along with blanks for each letter of the word. Each word is a CVC word, which is where kindergarteners start when reading their first words.

Your learners just drag and drop the letters in the correct order to make a word. Once they complete the words, they send it back for review from the teacher!

Ten Tiny Snowflakes

Along with a literacy activity, these winter digital activities also include a math activity. Again, this time of year, students are taking their number sense to the next level. When your students are ready to learn more about addition skills, this Ten Tiny Snowflakes activity is perfect.

Each slide presents a tens frame with a blank addition problem. Each addition problem adds up to ten. Your learners will learn how to use ten frames to complete the addition problems.

Once the activity is completed, it can be submitted to the teacher for review!
