There is so many things that you have to put on your classroom wall. So when your space is limited, you have to be creative. Word walls are a must in my classroom. So I had to find creative ways to display my word wall in order to have enough space for everything I want to display.

Dry Erase Board
Many teachers have more than one dry erase board in their classroom. This space can be utilized is so many ways.

One year I had two large boards, so I used that space for my word wall. I found these magnetic hooks on Amazon that worked perfectly. Next, I took my editable sight word cards and added metal rings to each set for an instant word wall!
I love this take on a word wall because it allows students to take a stack of sight words back to their desk to work on writing or other assignments.
Picture Frames
Another creative way to display my word walls is with picture frames. I love these frames from IKEA. They work with any classroom decor and can be used year after year.

Use your favorite metal rings and my word wall cards for a simple display of your word wall, sound wall or heart words.
Library Pockets
Yes! These pockets still have a purpose even though libraries don’t use them anymore. I use these pockets with my French Fry Sight Word board. Use them on your wall. You can also put magnets on the back and place them on your dry erase board.

Students can pull a french fry or two to use at their desk for writing. Use them for a sight word game. This interactive option leaves teachers with tons of ways to use them!
PVC Stand
If you’re looking for a way to save space, this PVC stand is a great option! Use this stand as a way to feature new or important sight words. Place it near your writing station to encourage your students to use certain words in their writing.

By using creative displays, you can engage students and enhance their vocabulary skills. Remember, the key is to keep the word wall dynamic and accessible, encouraging young learners to interact with it daily. These imaginative approaches will not only make your classroom more vibrant but also foster a love for words and reading among your students.
