When I think of the world that we live in and how many colors are all around, I am truly amazed. Rainbows, fish, butterflies, flowers…there are many colorful things in our world. So, when it comes to teaching colors to my little learners, what better way than to let them know that these colorful things come from God.
There are many ways to explore our world and the colors it is filled with.
Explore the beautiful colors of our world by taking a nature walk at the park. Head to the playground or the trails behind your house. Then, it is time to create a pocket-sized book with your little ones. This book is a little tricky to create, so follow the pictures below.
First, fold the book in half…
Then, fold it in half again…
Next, unfold the last fold and cut on the dotted lines…
Fold the book “hot-dog style” and push the outer sides together so that it folds in the middle like so…
The uncut edges should line up when the book is pushed together leaving you with these pages of the front and back of the book…
Finally, fold on the line to create the book!!! A little tricky, but totally worth it!
Once the book is created and colored by your little one, enjoy learning colors together while recognizing the beauty of our God’s creation.
